Momma's colleague asked momma if she loves the younger yan more than older rui.
Momma replied "i think i adore the younger more now". Her colleague commented that it is quite obvious.
That got momma to ponder upon this. Is it really that obvious? Is momma showing biasedness and is it unfair to rui?
Momma thinks that although she loves both girls just as much, she shows greater adoration towards yan now for various reasons.
Firstly, yan is at a really cute age. She doesn't whine much and when she is happy, she displays her happiness in the most babyish and unpretentious way. Rui on the other hand, will whine a lot when she doesn't get her way. The whining can get quite out-of-hand sometimes. Momma has little patience for that.
Secondly, yan is more happy-go-lucky as a baby. She is usually bubbly and happy and seldom in tears. Rui rui throws tantrums more often now as she is older and more aware of her rights.
Of course all these are not good enough reasons to be biased. Momma thinks all parents should remain as loving as possible to all children and there should be minimal favourtism.
But human beings are human beings afterall.
