In-house library

We bought a cabinet from IKEA to store the girls' ever-growing collection of story books. The girls converted it into a mini library.

Food Pyramid

Yan was given this home activity by her teacher - do a 3-D food pyramid craft at home with family. Along the way, she should learn concepts on the different components of the food pyramid, the different food groups and their benefits etc.

Here's what each of us contributed.
Rui came up with the idea of a 3-D glass of milk. She made that out of a small piece of cardboard paper and cotton wool (to simulate milk).
I sourced for and cut out pictures of the different foods under the different groups.
Yan coloured the pyramid.
Ben designed the overall look of the pyramid (He is the Design Engineer afterall).

Our final product looks so good!

Class 2B

Auntie V wrote about the 3 hubbies going for Class 2B lessons soon in her post.

I promised Ben, that I will buy him a motorbike if he passes by September. That will be his 40th birthday present.

I am hoping he chooses a pink Vespa.

Conversation with kiddos

Ben - "Rui what is your Chinese teacher's name?"
Rui - "蔡老师"
Yan - "Huh? Teacher Vege?"

Goodbye Teacher Wendy!

After 5 years of learning to swim under the guidance of Teacher Wendy, we are saying goodbye to her as she has chosen to leave her current school. Unfortunately, the new place where she will be teaching at is too far for us and so we will have to find a new coach instead. Here are some fond memories of the swim lessons the 2 girls have had.
