Yan Yan has been in childcare for almost a month. She still cries when Momma drops her off and leaves for work. However, she will stop once Momma is out of sight and she will participate and is happy to be in school (or at least that's what the teachers told Momma).
This morning, Momma did the usual thing before leaving for work. "Don't cry when Momma leaves ok? Auntie will pick you up at noon and Mommy will see you at night. You have fun with teachers and friends ok?" Yan Yan nodded. But Momma braced herself for crying nevertheless.
However, Yan didn't shed a tear. She bade Momma goodbye, her voice cracking, bit her lower lip and looked ready to cry, except she didn't! Teacher Sara saw and commended Yan by saying that she was proud of her.
Indeed, we are so proud of the brave little 2-year old.
